Toni lahern has apparently been suspended for saying she is pro choice pro guns. Most of you are probably not a fan of hers but it shows you the state we are in where you legit have to go full blown crazy one side or full blown crazy the other. You cannot pick and choose what policies you agree with without facing consequences from one side. Crazy:

I had read about that. I didn't think they would go completely crazy on her just for missing one item on the republican values checklist.

Despite all of her other comments, as someone who has studied HR and employment relations I'm completely with Tomi on this one. I don't know what the law is like in the U.S. but no one should have their employment status put in any kind of jeopardy over personal views that don't involve inflicting harm on others. I'm sure not everyone on Fox believes the shit they spew on the air personally either. If Beck does fire her I'd expect her to have a pretty solid lawsuit or settlement on her hands.

I agree, Evan. I think it's utterly ridiculous for theblaze to pillory Tomi Lahren over that.

That's horrendous. I searched AP for that story but I can't seem to find it, Dynasty. Do you have a source for that?

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/03/20/ma ... gally.html

Be warned its some what graphic. This is why people like me want to get a lot tougher immigration. So these two are here illegally, being protected, and taxes are paying for an 18 year old to attend high school as an 18 year old freshman. Im sorry you are 18, he should be getting a job not receiving free education on town tax dollars. I won't even speak on the rape, I believe that action speaks for itself. The town, the state, the country should be ashamed of itself. We failed to protect a 14 year old girl in a god damn school of all places because of the refusal to get tough on immigration.

Disgusting.

That's heartwrenching. I hope both of them are punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Today:

ACA repeal bill looks like it's not going to pass without major changes which could yield results if Trump takes it out of Ryan's hands and tries to pass something that could have bipartisan support. Unlikely but possible.

Dems are straining in their questioning of Neil Gorsuch, even though I fail to see why they should even bother, what happened to Garland was a disgrace but Gorsuch is well respected and qualified and Dems don't have the votes. Simple as.

I'd have rather them be harder on Trump's Cabinet appointees than this. They're giving the qualified person a hard time, but let the monkeys run the asylum without an issue.

Can we just fire all the politicians and start fresh? Please?

Yes, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are old stock. Sick of genteel capitulating Democrats that let Republicans have their way even when they're in power, which is where a lot of their problems stem from. Obama reached out and they slapped his hand back and called him weak and ineffective anyway. Obamacare should have been "We're doing single payer fuck you" he actually gave concessions to Republicans who voted against it anyway. Bipartisanship is a language they clearly aren't interested in. It'll always be their way or the highway so give them a taste of their own medicine. There's a wave of grassroots energy coming their way and if they were smart they'd find a way to harness it.

Suspected terrorist attack outside Westminster today, I know what I need to know about it from people I trust to be strictly factual on Reuters and AP, don't want to bother with the Orwellian reaction of TV news. Already you know how the usual suspects are going to react so what's the point?

Apologetics and complete and utter bigotry from the loudest minorities on both sides of the political debate.

It's always going to be a question of is it ok to curtail civil liberties and human rights in the aim of stopping terrorism? In my view accessing ISIS websites should be equated with child porn and there should be no tolerance for it in any way. You have to consider as well ISIS are losing ground every day and just like dying wasps at the end of summer they lash out in anger. It's a reality the West will have to live with because it's winning and that's the cost of winning.

Losing at the very least looks like large scale co-ordinated bombings in American and European cities every few weeks and at the most 9/11 and Pearl Harbour style attacks every few months so yeah I'd say we're quite a ways away from that. All they have is their online propaganda and these random lone wolf attacks. They've abandoned so many chunks of large cities in the last few months alone, they're clearly on the backfoot and being in that situation breeds attempts to lash out in desperation.

Tell that to the dead civilians and their families today that we are winning but at any giving moment our governments can't protect you against these attacks because we do not have the balls to do what everyone knows needs to be done. We are sacrificing our own people's human rights like the casualties today to protect those that we have no requirement protecting.

Of course this post is all speculation because I do not know the purpose of that attack at this time

There isn't a solution that can ever create 100% certainty that there will never be a terrorist attack under any name/label/ideology. The entire premise of dystopian literature is that even under the strictest of police states there will be an element that fights back against it.

If we gave away all of our civil rights and allowed the government to become Big Brother and oversee every facet of our lives, and attacks still would happen, what is the point in giving them away? If our ideals are about freedom, democracy and all of the pargons that the United States has planted its flag on for the last 100 years, then protecting our freedoms should be essential, not giving them away for the facade of protection

I agree with Evan and Goobs. I think the second we start giving up rights and freedoms is the second that the terrorists start to win because they will see that we are afraid of them. Their intent is to instill terror and we can't let them do that. We have to show bravery, resilience and strength in the face of terror and compassion and empathy to the victims of the terrorists' atrocities.

No ones asking for legal citizens of attacked countries to give up rights.

The west will not win this type of war playing the humane game. With this modern attitude the West would have lost WW2 there is no question about it IMO. I'm sure all the hashtags and social media posts will fix everything though.

Every phone call of yours or mine that the government listens to of yours or mine (as law abiding citizens with no reason to be suspected of any wrong doing) that wasn't asked for direct consent could be considered an invasion of our right to privacy. Those bills that allow those kinds of wiretaps and invasions of our internet records are a small chip out of our rights. It's not the same as rescinding habeas corpus across the board, but we have done that. Who's to say who the government decides will be enough of a threat to not show those rights to next, if there's a terrorist attack that provides a "good" reason?
